Description de l'offre

Partnership

  • To provide technical support to SIF Bangladeshi NGO partner and build their capacity, especially in regards to emergency response approaches, Humanitarian coordination mechanisms and technical skills (WASH, Child Protection, Livelihood, etc.)
  • To control the quality of the partners’ output, respect of procedures and attention to details
  • To ensure good communication, collaboration, and team spirit within the Partner

 Representation

  • To represent SIF, coordinate and advocate on key issues with local and national authorities, UN agencies, donors and INGOs.
  • To attend to the WASH coordination meetings, Education coordination meetings, Child Protection Coordination meetings,  Health coordination meeting, Humanitarian Forum and to the other relevant coordination meetings and Working Groups (disludging WG, Hygiene Promotion WG, etc.).
  • To develop and maintain good network with other NGOs working on the Rohingyas response

 Project Monitoring

  • To visit field sites (forEducation, Child Protection and Health) regularly and control the project implementation progress, the respect of the Logframe, Timeframe and budget
  • To review SIF’s partner reports

Operational strategy

  • To monitor the emergency humanitarian situation in the Cox’s Bazar and advise HoM on the appropriate course of action
  • To contribute to the elaboration of the mission’s operational strategy: context analysis and its evolution, elaboration of problem trees and proposed solutions, needs assessment analysis, proposal of new actions, budgeting and HR dimensioning.
  • To be part of the Coordination Team
  • To participate in the analysis and proposal of solutions for all decisions impacting the mission in general.

Reporting

  • To inform HoM on a regular basis of the progress, the achievements, the difficulties and the lessons learnt of the different projects
  • To send a weekly report to the HoM
  • To centralize all information gathered in the field and consolidate a Monthly report (into the proper reporting format) for the HoM
  • To draft donors reports according to the requested deadlines and guidelines.
  • To elaborate ad hoc reports: mission, follow-up, survey, training, etc.

Program Development

  • To regularly analyze the context risks, operational access issues and availability of resources
  • To oversee the field assessments,
  • To address the feasibility of existing proposal and realign them in light of the field assessment findings
  • To assess the donor environment and opportunities for funding, and draft concept notes and proposal

Profil requis

  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience in humanitarian work, including previous experiences as Field-Coordinator, Program Manager, or Technical Manager (WASH, Child Protection or Health)
  • Experience in partnership with local NGOs, and capacity building
  • Successful experience in managing multi-sector programs especially WASH, Child Protection and Health
  • Solid experience in external coordination
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of project planning and budget holding; proposal and report writing
  • Strong leadership skill, with excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with partners including local authorities.
  • Capacity to act with diplomacy & proven liaison and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and work planning skills, and the ability to work in a high volume work environment.
  • Capacity in managing a multi-technical and multi-ethnic team.
  • Ability to delegate
  • Stress management skills: ability to work under pressure, able to prioritize and handle a diverse and heavy workload.
