Based in Beirut, the Psycho-Social Support (PSS) Project Manager is responsible for the management and implementation of an integrated community-based Child Protection (CP)/ PSS project in Beirut and Mount Lebanon (Baabda and Shouf).
The PSS Project Manager will work under the supervision of the Protection Program Manager (PM), and will directly manage SIF Field Officers and technical staff.

The main objectives of the PSS Project Manager position are to successfully achieve the following global tasks:

  • Ensure effective implementation and oversight of all aspects of the community-based CP/PSS project (full project cycle management), respecting the budget and the workplan;
  • Ensure the team management of all operational PSS staff within the CP/PSS project: Field Officers and technical unit, (PSS trainer and CP supervisor);
  • Act as the direct liaison point to maintain the efficient working relationships and communication between Social Development Centers (SDCs), local NGOs and SIF;
  • Ensure a clear feedback and communication between his/her team (Field Officers and the technical unit) and external relevant working groups (PSS committee and CP);
  • Ensure strong capitalization of all aspects of the project.

Profil requis

  • Proficiency in project cycle management;
  • Good management skills and team leadership spirit;
  • Fluency in English (speaking/reading/writing); knowledge of Arabic desired;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Degree in psychology, sociology, social work or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar position (NGOs/ public sector/ private companies);
  • Strong knowledge of Psychosocial Support and Child Protection activities;
  • Knowledge of humanitarian field and the Lebanese local context desired;
